Terms of Service
Effective as of September 26, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Harbor Helm website, directory, matching tools, and related services. By using Harbor Helm, you agree to these terms.
1. What Harbor Helm provides
Harbor Helm helps people discover, organize, and understand information about independently operated disability-service providers and programs. We may offer directory search, Best Fit organization tools, saved information, provider profile management, and related features.
Harbor Helm is not a medical provider, care provider, case manager, government agency, insurer, or placement service. We do not provide medical, clinical, legal, or financial advice.
2. No guarantee of services or outcomes
Directory information and Best Fit results are starting points for further evaluation. Harbor Helm does not guarantee that information is complete or current or that a provider will accept a person, have availability, accept particular funding, meet every stated need, or deliver a particular outcome.
You are responsible for confirming program information, eligibility, availability, funding, licensing, qualifications, safety, and suitability directly with the provider and other appropriate professionals.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use Harbor Helm lawfully and not to:
- Interfere with, probe, overload, or disrupt the service or its security.
- Use automated means to extract or reproduce information except as expressly permitted.
- Impersonate another person or organization or submit information you are not authorized to provide.
- Upload malicious code, unlawful material, or personal information without an appropriate basis and consent.
- Use directory information to harass, discriminate against, or harm another person.
4. Accounts and provider information
If account features are available, you are responsible for accurate registration information and for keeping credentials secure. Providers represent that they are authorized to submit or manage information for their organizations and that the information they provide is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
We may review, edit, decline, or remove submitted information to maintain integrity, comply with law, or protect users.
5. Intellectual property
Harbor Helm and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, and original content. You may use the service for its intended personal or organizational purposes but may not copy, resell, or create derivative commercial products from it without permission.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Harbor Helm a limited license to host, process, display, verify, and use that content as needed to operate and improve the service.
6. Third-party services and links
Harbor Helm may link to provider websites, government resources, payment services, and other third parties. We do not control or endorse all third-party content and are not responsible for their availability, privacy practices, or services.
7. Paid services
If paid features are offered, pricing and renewal terms will be shown before purchase. Payments may be processed by a third party. Additional terms presented at checkout will apply to that transaction.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Harbor Helm is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and warranties arising from course of dealing or usage.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Harbor Helm and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on directory information, provider actions, interrupted access, or unauthorized access.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
10. Changes and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access when necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or violations of these terms. We may update these terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above.
